Ohemaa Woyeje gives detailed account of alleged Angel FM attack
Ghanaian media personality Ohemaa Woyeje has detailed a shocking account of being attacked at Angel FM.
On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Angel FM presenter alleged that the company’s CEO, Vincent Opare, sent masked men to prevent her from entering the media house.
“What you saw is the truth. I went live to document the situation and have evidence of what happened. I had received no prior notification that I should not report to work. When I arrived at the premises, a masked vigilante blocked my entry, stating they were acting on the orders of our CEO, Vincent Opare,” she told Ghanaweb’s Joseph Henry Mensah.
Ohemaa Woyeje described how her colleagues, including Saddick Adams, intervened to help her gain access to the building after her credentials had been revoked from the system.
“With the support of Saddick Adams, who had finished his morning show and came to inquire about the situation, the men confirmed they were following the CEO’s instructions. The confrontation lasted for an hour. Eventually, Saddick Adams guided me through the back entrance so I could begin work,” she recounted.
She further revealed that she called the police to file a complaint. “The police arrived and arrested some individuals, though others managed to escape. They have since been trying to reach the CEO, but he has not answered their calls.”
When asked if she had any personal disputes with Vincent Opare, Ohemaa Woyeje stated that the CEO felt threatened by her expertise and success.
“He is uncomfortable working with me. He thinks I have too much experience. He is new and unfamiliar with the media industry. He is naive, and Kwaku Oteng actually asked me to guide him in his role,” she explained.
Ohemaa Woyeje also dismissed rumors that Vincent Opare acted on the orders of Dr. Kwaku Oteng, the founder of Angel Group of Companies.
“I called the founder, Kwaku Oteng, and he was shocked to hear about the incident. He advised me not to return until he could reach the CEO for an explanation. However, the CEO refused to take his calls. That’s when I decided to handle the situation myself.
Kwaku Oteng had no involvement in this. He is a good man and has even advised the CEO against frustrating my contract. Unfortunately, the CEO decided to act on his own,” she clarified.
