This is why Medikal is telling TV3 not to play his music again
Ghanaian rapper Medikal is fuming after a controversial comment made about artistes in the country during an episode of Choices on TV3.
The uproar began when a guest on the show was asked which Ghanaian artistes stood a real chance of winning a Grammy. His response? “None for now—maybe in the future.” When pressed—“Not even Sarkodie?”—the guest doubled down that Sarkodie’s career has end.
TV3 posted a clip of the discussion on X (formerly Twitter), captioned: “Sarkodie’s career has ended – This week on #Choices, our guests shared their candid opinions on Ghanaian artists who stand a chance of winning a Grammy.”
That didn’t sit well with Medikal.
The ‘Ayekoo’ hitmaker unleashed a tirade online, slamming the station, the guest, and its entire crew. Visibly angered, he also demanded that TV3 stop playing his music altogether.
His unfiltered post read:
“Dumbass station, stupid ass admin, foolish boy! Nonsense camera man, everybody for TV3 ein moda! Make una no play my music again. Kwasiafoɔ, ehiafoɔ, mboa!”
So far, TV3 has not responded publicly to the backlash.
