Mona 4Reall (Hajia 4Reall) marks music comeback with new song ‘Move’ after U.S. prison release

Ghanaian singer and socialite Mona Faiz Montrage, widely known as Hajia 4Reall or Mona 4Reall, has officially stepped back into the spotlight. On June 1, 2025, she teased her musical comeback with a snippet of her new single, ‘Move’.

‘Move’, her new track, opens with the words, “Life is a testimony,” and leans heavily into themes of resilience, redemption, and personal transformation.

The release follows her return to Ghana after completing a prison sentence in the United States. Montrage was freed from the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia on May 22, 2025, after serving one year and one day for her role in a wide-ranging internet fraud scheme. Her return home was part of an immigration arrangement approved by a U.S. judge.

In May 2023, the socialite was extradited from the UK to face charges in the U.S. She later pleaded guilty to conspiracy to receive stolen money and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken in June 2024.

Prosecutors said Montrage was linked to a West African criminal enterprise that defrauded elderly Americans of more than $2 million through romance scams and other fraudulent schemes. She was accused of managing U.S.-based bank accounts that received funds from nearly 40 victims under false pretenses—including elaborate lies involving fake FBI cases, non-existent gold shipments, and a phony U.S. Army officer in distress.

According to court filings, she was ordered to pay $1,387,458 in restitution, forfeit $216,475, and remain under supervised release for three years following her incarceration.

Despite the legal setbacks, Montrage’s legal team emphasized her desire to turn over a new leaf. Her voluntary repatriation to Ghana was framed as a fresh start, both legally and musically.

Now, with ‘Move’ gaining online traction, Mona 4Reall seems ready to reshape her narrative—and her career.
