I’ve produced over 1,000 tracks, worked with nearly every Ghanaian artiste – Mix Master Garzy reveals
Mix Master Garzy says his fingerprint can be found across the timelines of Ghanaian music, from the early trailblazers to today’s hottest newcomers. The renowned producer believes his influence isn’t just audible in the beats but also in the breadth of collaborations that have defined his journey.
In a recent interview on Hitz FM, Garzy spoke about the scale of his work, suggesting that even he struggles to keep count of the songs he’s produced over the years.
“Yeah, it go fit you enter that side,” he said with a laugh when asked if his credits could number in the thousands.
That staggering output, he explained, is no accident. Garzy has made it a point to break down barriers, working across genres, allegiances, and generations to leave a mark on every corner of the industry.
“I’m one of the producers that have worked with most of our artistes here,” he said, underlining his commitment to collaboration over affiliation.
Despite frequent associations with the BHIM Nation camp, Garzy emphasized that his loyalty lies with music as a whole, not any specific artist or collective.
“I try to work with everybody… Even though you might feel I’m more with this camp. I have a lot of upcoming artistes that I’ve worked with and till now, I still do that,” he noted.
His portfolio tells the story: from early collaborations with legends like Tinny, Edem, and FBS, to fresh projects with rising talents shaping the new sound of Ghana.
“I always work with everybody. I play with everybody. So, getting into the olden days, like from the Tinny, Edem, FBS, all of those people I’ve worked with them. So, when we go to the old catalogue, I’m there. When you come to the new school too, I’m there,” Mix Master Garzy further stated.
