Apostle Francis Amoako Atta, leader of Parliament Chapel International, has recounted a deeply moving moment he shared with the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, an encounter that, in hindsight, carried the quiet weight of finality.
During an interview, the prophet disclosed that Charles Kwadwo Fosu, better known as Daddy Lumba, visited him in an extremely weakened state, confined to a wheelchair and unable to walk.
“When Daddy came to me, he couldn’t walk. He was in a very bad state. I gave him 21 days,” the prophet revealed, sharing how Lumba’s fragile condition left a lasting impact on him.
Apostle Amoako Atta described the meeting as spiritually revealing. He said he instantly sensed that Lumba’s remaining time on earth was being held together by a force beyond the physical.
“Daddy has made such an impact that we need to celebrate him. When I met him, I immediately knew his remaining days on earth were only by grace,” he said, alluding to a divine presence he believes sustained the singer through his final days.
Although the exact date of their meeting was not disclosed, the prophet noted that their relationship deepened following that visit. He spoke of witnessing what he believed was a life prolonged purely by spiritual grace.
“Since then, I knew it was by grace. His rest of life was not about strength or medicine. It was grace.”
News of Daddy Lumba’s death broke on the morning of Saturday, July 26, 2025. In a statement released via his official Facebook page and confirmed by his media platform, Daddy Lumba FM, the Fosu family announced the beloved artist’s passing.
