Ghanaian rapper D Cryme has made a bold statement that perfectly captures his unshakable self-belief. The “Kill Me Shy” hitmaker says he has so much confidence in his craft that he could even fill Heaven if given the opportunity to perform there.
Speaking with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, D Cryme, whose real name is Darlington Agyekum, was asked to choose which major venue in Accra he believed he could easily sell out: the Accra Sports Stadium, the Accra International Conference Centre, or The Dome.
Instead of picking one, the rapper gave a more profound and humorous response that emphasized his limitless faith in his talent.
“If you don’t believe in yourself, you will set limits. As for me, even if I am given a chance to perform in Heaven, I can fill it up,” he said.
He further shared his philosophy on confidence and artistry, urging musicians to rise above doubts about audience capacity.
“You can think about it that this place has a 10,000 or 100,000 capacity… But if you believe in yourself, you know your worth, and you play your cards right, you can fill up any venue,” D Cryme added.
