Addressing his congregation, Prophet Bernard ElBernard made it clear that, in his view, personal and economic responsibilities carry greater weight than attendance at church programmes. He emphasised that members of his ministry are expected to prioritise their homes and livelihoods before church activities.
“Never choose a church event over family. Are you with me? In this church, any day, any time, let me tell you, choose your work over church service. Choose your family over church activity.
“You may not like me, but I have told you the truth. In this church, choose your family over the church. Choose your work over the church. I’ve told you a simple idea,” he stated.
