Stonebwoy has spoken against people who disguise hostility as rivalry, describing such conduct as morally wrong and harmful.
The award-winning musician made the remarks on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, during an interview on Anopa Bofo with Saddick Adams, where he reflected on the growing wave of public criticism he says often targets him unfairly despite his focus on personal growth.
He explained that his approach has always been centred on self-discipline and improvement, but the public space frequently turns hostile.
“While I’m trying to be self-competitive, you will find that in the general space, there are constant attacks. That’s when you will hear things like ‘educated fool,’” he said.
According to Stonebwoy, some individuals deliberately lean into negativity, believing it benefits them in one way or another. He cautioned that such behaviour should not be normalised and called for spiritual grounding in dealing with it.
“Someone’s nature is to be evil because of the benefits they will get from it. So when I say evil, I’m serious about it; that’s why we must be prayerful,” he stated.
Despite the criticism and personal attacks, Stonebwoy maintained that his outlook remains anchored in optimism and purpose, stressing that life should be guided by positive intent rather than hostility.
“I believe in positivity. I believe in life because we are here on earth with a purpose. So whatever someone is doing, there is some sort of benefit they get from it, and they are happy with it,” he further stated.
