Keche Joshua says he was paid GH¢80,000 to appear in Pappy Kojo’s newly released “Customer” music video despite their long-standing social media feud.
Speaking in an interview on MX24 TV, Joshua revealed that although he and Pappy Kojo have clashed online for years, he accepted the cameo role strictly as business. According to him, once filming wrapped, he left the set immediately without interacting with the rapper.
“I was paid GH¢80,000. So when I finished my part, I just left. I didn’t even talk to him; I was just there for business,” he said.
The unexpected collaboration has drawn attention because of the pair’s history of tension on social media over the years.
During the interview, Keche also opened up about the kind of music they enjoy making. The duo explained that they prefer creating simple and catchy songs that listeners can easily sing along to instead of tracks that take weeks for fans to understand or memorise.
According to them, many people are already burdened with personal and economic pressures, so musicians should focus on making enjoyable music that feels easy and relatable.
“If you are a musician and you’re doing it for the people all the time, just get them something very simple for them to sing along,” the duo stated.
As part of the discussion, Keche referenced Joey B’s latest song, “News at 7,” describing it as a strong record with an impressive storyline. Still, he admitted that even though he enjoys the song, he is struggling to properly learn the lyrics.
