“God Saved Me” – Kelvyn Boy Opens Up About Scary Accident

Kelvyn Boy

Kelvyn Boy is counting his blessings after surviving a road incident that left him with a fractured ankle, a situation the Ghanaian singer says narrowly avoided turning into a tragedy.

The artiste made the incident public through a social media update from a hospital, where he appeared in a wheelchair with his injured leg firmly wrapped. Another image shared alongside the post showed a CT scan pointing to the severity of the ankle injury as medical staff attended to him.

Recounting the incident, Kelvyn Boy disclosed that it happened behind the Centre Point Mall near Atomic Junction. He explained that he was standing on the sidewalk when a vehicle reversing nearby lost control and suddenly swerved in his direction.

He noted that the quick intervention of two close associates saved his life, even though he could not escape without injury.

“A few days ago, God saved me from what would have been the most tragic news all year for me and my people. A driver reversing lost control, heading for me at the sidewalk of the very back of Center Point Mall. God saved me through two of my guys who saw it fast and reacted quickly enough, but the accident left me with a fractured ankle. Give thanks for life still,” he wrote.

The injury has disrupted his schedule, forcing him to pull out of several appearances. Kelvyn Boy issued an apology to event organisers and fans affected by the cancellations and asked promoters to liaise with his management to reschedule the missed shows.

Still, the setback has not dampened his resolve. The singer, born Kelvyn Brown, said he remains focused on returning to the stage as soon as possible and completing his outstanding engagements before the year wraps up, even if it means performing with assistance.

“To promoters whose shows I have missed, my sincerest apologies to you and, most importantly, the fans. Kindly coordinate with management to fix new dates. And to the few ones ahead before the end of the year, I am racing against time. I will be there, with crutches, if need be, to rave. Nothing’s going to stop us now. Stay safe and always be thankful for life,” the 34-year-old singer further stated.
