Ghanaian gospel singer Herty Borngreat has given insight into her long absence from the music scene, revealing that family responsibilities pulled her away at the height of her career, despite a string of successful releases over the years.
She made the disclosure on Onua Showtime on June 7, 2026, explaining that she chose to step back from music in order to fully focus on raising her children.
According to her, the demands of motherhood alongside an active music career became too heavy to manage at the same time, ultimately pushing her to prioritise home life over the stage.
During the interview, she also opened up about her family in a moment that left both the host and audience visibly surprised when she revealed the size of her household.
The gospel artiste disclosed that she has nine biological children, made up of seven girls and two boys.
“I have been around. I took a break to give birth and raise my children. I have nine kids. But I am done giving birth. They are all my biological children, and I gave birth to all of them naturally,” she said.
Looking ahead, Herty Borngreat confirmed she is now preparing to return to music after years away from the spotlight.
“By the grace of God, it has been good, and thanks to my husband, Bishop Borngreat, for his support,” the Gospel singer further stated.
