A forty-acre cannabis farm located at Liati in the Afadjato South District of the Volta Region has been destroyed.
The farm was destroyed by a joint operation led by the personnel of the Narcotics Control Commission with support coming from the Ghana Immigration Service and the police.
In the process, a pregnant woman, a nursing mother and two others who were working on the farm have been arrested.
Head of Communication at the Narcotics Control Commission, Francis Opoku Amoah said his outfit will continue to fight illicit drugs in the country.
