Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang becomes The First Female Vice Presidential Candidate of NDC

Former Education Minister, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang becomes the first female Vice Presidential candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Former President John Dramani Mahama has nominated former Vice Chancellor of University of Cape Coast and also Minister of Education, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang his Vice Presidential candidate for the December elections.

Mr. Mahama nominated Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang after consultation with the National Executive Council of the party.

Professor Opoku Agyemang noted that she would work hard to bring a resounding victory to the NDC in the coming elections.

“I have worked with HE John Dramani Mahama closely and I know he is a man of vision, a leader you can trust, a public servant of integrity and a courageous leader who makes the right decisions in the national interest at all times. I pledge to diligently apply myself and dedicate all the energy and intellect I can muster to ensure a resounding victory for the NDC and for our country, Ghana. So help me God,” Professor Agyemang assured.
