Dormaahene Kicks Against New Voters’ Register

The Omanhene of the Dormaa Traditional Area in the Bono Region, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II has called on the Electoral Commission to call off the voters’ registration exercise.

Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II noted that the time is not the right time to conduct the exercise looking at the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the country.

Osagyefo Badu II gave the advice when the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah paid a courtesy call on him to bring him why the NDC is against the compilation of the new register.

He said the EC has not been able to convince him on why they still wants to compile the register.

Johnson Asiedu Nketiah on his part noted that they are going across the country to sensitize chiefs on why they against the the new register.

He noted that the NDC would continue to protect the democracy of the country.
