Atebubu-Amantin: We Do Not Want Edward Owusu As MCE Again
NPP polling station agents in the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality are calling on the President Akufo- Addo not to reappoint Edward Owusu as the Municipal Chief Executive.
The spokesman for the group, Emmanuel Effah noted that the immediate past MCE when he assumed office moved with armed military men and police officers to collect revenue from people which created enmity for the NPP party in Atebubu.
Effah Emmanuel again said, “The Acting MCE also destroyed all structures built by marketers with the intention of renovating the Atebubu Central Market but didn’t touch his hut in the market. Also, the freebies the president presented to the citizens couldn’t reach Atebubu-Amantin Municipality because of his selfishness. He has amassed wealth and now owns a very big business.”
He played a massive role in the defeat of Hon Kofi Amoakohene in the 2020 elections.
Mr Effah noted that the evidence they have provided shows how incompetent Hon Edward Owusu is and doesn’t deserve another chance as MCE again.
He pleaded with President Akufo Addo to get the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality a new MCE who would work with the people.
