Call Kennedy Agyapong To Order – Ken Kuranchie Urges NPP Leadership

Managing Editor of Daily Searchlight Nwespaper, Ken Kuranchie has called on the leadership of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a matter of urgency call Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to order since some of his utterance is putting the image of the party into disrepute.

This was in reaction to the verbally attacked and threat by the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong on journalist Erastus Asare Donkor of Luv FM in Kumasi, on ‘The Attitude’ programme, which was aired on July 09, 2021, on Net 2 TV.

Speaking in an interview on Nimdee FM’s morning show ‘Anopa Nimdee Adwasuo’, Mr. Kuranchie observed that Mr. Agyapong is a leading member of NPP and he will appeal to the leadership of the party to call and advise him on the impact of such utterance on himself and the party.

“So there is the need for the leadership to call him and speak to him. They should let him know that some of his utterance over the long run will not help him, will not help the NPP. It will not benefit him and it will not benefit the NPP, this is because the NPP needs journalists and the NPP needs Ghanaians.”

He noted as a member of the party if something happens to him it affects the party and if consistently, he gets himself into situation that brings embarrassment to himself and the organization he belongs to, there is the need for leaders of the organization to call him and advise him on how he should address issues.

“You don’t go on radio and say someone has done a wrong report so we should beat him. I have said before some of them are purely personal problems. Like you bought a land and the issue was taking to court and you were asked to appear before the court and you come on radio to insult the judge and it turns into a whole national issue between NPP and NDC, it brings problems into the party and tarnishes the image of the party as well.”
