3 Orphanage Homes In Ashanti Region Receive Support

Three Orphanage Homes in the Ashanti Region have taken delivery of assorted items to support the upkeep of the children there.

The beneficiary institutions are Mampong Orphanage Home at Asante Mampong, All Nation Orphanage at Ayigya-Kumasi and Central Destitute Infirmary Orphanage Home at Amaoful near Bekwai.

The items estimated at GH¢16,500 included 40 bags of cement, 6 bags of maize, 4 bags of gari, cartons of soft drinks, boxes of tomato paste, cooking oil, crates of eggs, cartons of bottle water, detergents and toiletries.

The donation was made by ASA Savings and Loans as part of its annual corporate social responsibility activities.

Mr. Alexander Opoku Ayitey, Mampong Area Manager of ASA Savings and Loans said the gesture is to help managers of the Orphanage Homes to provide befitting shelter and food for the destitute in order for them for feel at home.

This he said, would cushion the children pursue their life aspirations like any other person in society.

“This is the little that we can do to support the upkeep of these underprivileged children. They shouldn’t be left to feel dejected and neglected, especially when the Christmas festivities is just around the corner. This will not be the first and last of its kind,” he said.

On behalf of the beneficiary Homes, Rev. Mrs. Hanna Ennin, Manager of Mampong Orphanage Home, expressed profound gratitude to ASA Saving and Loans for the benevolence, indicating that items really came handy as Christmas draws nearer.

She appealed to other corporate bodies and well-to-do individuals to emulate the example by assisting orphans across the country.
