Information available to First News is that two persons involved in robbery and kidnapping have been killed by the police at Yeji in the Pru East District of the Bono East Region.
A Special Anti-Robbery officers attached to the Bono East Regional Police Command have shot and killed two robbery and kidnapping suspects, Ali Ruga alias Ali Muguyaro and Issaka Abubakar alias Kuriidor, through an intelligence-led operation on a criminal syndicate at Yeji on Monday December 20, 2021.
According to the Police the two were part of a kidnapping syndicate operating in the Yeji enclave.
The Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service, ACP Kwesi Ofori noted that a single barrel shotgun with two live “BB” cartridges, three mobile phones and a talisma were retrieved at their hideout at Konkoba a suburb of Yeji.
