Bono Police Begins Investigation Into Drowning Incident

The Bono Regional Police Command has begun investigations into the drowning of a final year student of University of Education, Isaac Ampabeng Kyeremeh, at Shekinah Lodge at Abesim in the Sunyani Municipality on New Year’s Day.

The Police has promised it will conduct a diligent investigation into the incident.

Isaac Ampabeng Kyeremeh was pronounced dead by Medical Officers when he was rushed to the Sunyani Municipal Hospital.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the facility’s Morgue waiting autopsy. Over the past ten years, four persons have drowned at the facility.

Efforts to speak to the Management of the Shekinah Lodge Limited and the Ghana Tourism Authority were unsuccessful.
