Sekondi-Takoradi MCE Arrested For Dangerous Driving

The Western Regional Police Command has arrested Mr. Abdul-Mumin Issah, the Municipal Chief Executive for Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly in the Western Region for an alleged motor traffic offence and verbal assault of and a Police Officer.

In a press release signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Olivia E.T. Adiku, Head of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service in the Western Region stated that, “ The MCE has been charged on three counts assault of a public officer, offensive conduct conducive, to breaches of the peace and disturbing the peace in a public place contrary to Sections 205,207,298 respectively.”

The MCE was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GE-5615-20 when the incident happened at a snap checkpoint near the Kwasimintim Cemetery.

He will be arranged before court tomorrow Friday 4, February 2022.
