Botsyo Nkegbe Places Second At The Dessert Challenge T54 100m Finals

Ghana’s Paralympian athlete Botsyo Nkegbe and his colleague MacLean Atsu Dzidzienyo left Ghana to compete at this year’s IPC sanctioned ” Dessert Challenge” in Arizona, United States of America.

MacLean Atsu Dzidzienyo competed in the T53 races whiles Nkegbe also took the T54 100m,400m and 1500m but Botsyo qualified to all his races finals which was done yesterday.

In the T54 100m final, Botsyo Nkegbe came second was decorated with a medal by the Event Coordinator Rhonda Carlson. Botsyo also took part in the 1,500m but came second in his heats out of 24 participants only to be told that , this time around it’s a time event so couldn’t go through to the finals.

In all over Ten (10) countries all around the World competed at the Dessert Challenge where it also served as a qualifier for the Commonwealth Games. Botsyo and MacLean Atsu Dzidzienyo are very grateful to Ghanaians for the immense prayers and support for this year’s Dessert Challenge.

Botsyo Nkegbe is most grateful to his sponsors India Women’s Association of Ghana, Opportunity International Savings and Loans and Ghana Gas Company Limited for providing him with whatever he needed to attend the Dessert Challenge in the States but he is on his way to New Jersey for another Roadrace.
