Thugs Beat Journalist At NDC Constituency Elections
Central Regional Correspondent for Accra-based, Power FM and TV XYZ, Nana Tawiah has been beaten by some thugs during the NDC’s Agona East Constituency elections at Agona Nsabaa in the Central Region.
According to information available to First News, the thugs that beat the journalist were seen as supporters of the Member of Parliament for Agona East Constituency, Queenstar Maame Pokua Sawyerr.
During the elections a fight ensued among some members of the party so the journalist decided to go and listen to what was happening.
According to Nana Tawiah, after he has gone to witness about what was happening, he came back to his seat, unfortunately the thugs numbering over seven came to him, hit his head with heavy stick and metal, tore his dress, seized his phone and wrist watch and beat him mercilessly.
The Journalist said, he didn’t know what he committed leading to his beating. The thugs after beating the Journalist jumped into their private car and runway.
The Journalist collapsed on the spot and was rushed to the hospital with the help of colleagues.
The case was reported to the Agona Nsabaa Police station for investigation.
