Chonke Youth Hit Back At Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul

Chonke -Nchumuru Youth Association has hit back at the Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul following his recent visit to the Oti Region.

Dominic Nitiwul was in the Oti Region to interact with Nchumuru chiefs following the murdered of the chief of Borae Ahenfie, Nana Meebo II and two others.

However, the Chonke -Nchumuru Youth Association has however hit back at the Minister.

“We all thought that the visit of Hon Nitiwul was to help soothe the pains of the family and the Chonke State, get first-hand information regarding the gruesome act visited on our kinsmen by your tribesmen, and also assure all and sundry that justice will be served. But alas, he chose to do politics with everything, whilst issuing threats to our chiefs and people.”

“As law abiding citizens, we want to call on the President, His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo, the commander in-chief of the Ghana Armed Forces and a royal who does not joke with royalty and the chieftaincy institution to call his men to order. We also call on the National House of Chiefs, Civil Society, National Peace Council and other relevant bodies, to get interested in this matter, call Hon Nitiwul and his appendage, Hon Makubu to order before things get out of hand.”

So far sixteen people have been arrested in connection with the incident at Borae Ahenfie.
