My First Salary As Radio Presenter Was 50 Cedis-Mr Tarr
Mr. Tarr of Sunyani-based Service Radio has disclosed that the first salary he took as a radio Presenter was 50 cedis in 2012 after he has worked over six years without salary.
Mr Tarr known in private life as Abdul Shatar Rashid one of the finest radio personalities in the Bono Region, was speaking to Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku on his programme Unlimited Chat With K.O.K.
He noted that he worked for many years without salary.
“I took my first salary of 50 cedis at Space FM in Sunyani in 2012 after working there for many years.”
According to Mr. Tarr the road has been rough but he survived because of the passion he had for the job.
He has worked with Sunyani Technical University-based Parrot FM, Ark FM and Suncity Radio.
