Eight People Die On Volta Lake

Eight (8) people have been confirmed dead after a boat carrying mourners capsized on the Volta Lake on Monday March 27.

Ghanaxpress.com reporter, Npoah Isaac said, the boat was conveying the mourners from Kpajoti, a village in the Krachi Nchumuru District to Sabaja in the Krachi West Municipality on the lake.

According to our reporter, eight  people died intently as 7 others survived though one has been admitted at the hospital.

The sad incident occurred 12 pm on Monday. A survivor said, the boat was severally patched as water flows through the spaces.

The surviving victims said, 15 persons were crossing from Kpajoti to Sabaja on boat when the incident happened.

The Eight dead persons were two children below age of five and six adults. All passengers were without life jacket.
