President Akufo-Addo has nominated one Bernard Aborkogya Mensah as the Municipal Chief Executive for Krachi East Municipality in the Oti Region.
The President’s nomination is in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
The nomination of the President follows the death of the former MCE Francis Kofi Okesu in September 2022.
The Municipality has been without an MCE for the past eight months.
The nominee has to be confirmed by the Assembly Members and Government appointees of the Assembly.
He was once the party Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Krachi East Constituency for eight years.

Mr. Mensah holds a Degree in Theology from the Christian Service University in Kumasi and a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Cape Coast.
