Group Picks Forms For Alidu Zakaria In Salaga South Constituency

A coalition known as the Coalition of Electoral Area Coordinators and Polling Station Executives in the Salaga South Constituency of the Savanna Region has  obtained nomination forms for Alidu Zakaria, also known as Uncle Ayawo, to participate in the upcoming New Patriotic Party Parliamentary primaries.

Led by Mohammed Shaibu Bukari, the Electoral Area Coordinator for Abrumase, the group collected the forms from the Constituency office in Salaga.

In an interview, Mohammed Shaibu Bukari expressed his endorsement of Alidu Zakaria, describing him as a commendable individual who has made significant contributions to the constituency.

“Zakaria has generously sponsored the registration of all Polling Station Executives,   Electoral Area Coordinators, and Constituency Executives for new membership cards. Furthermore, he undertook the renovation of the party’s office in 2019. He has empowered some of the polling station executives through recent GES recruitment.”

Bukari further revealed that, ” Mr. Zakaria has positively impacted numerous individuals in the constituency, extending his assistance beyond the NPP’s membership. He has facilitated employment opportunities for many youths, demonstrating his commitment to their welfare. By rallying behind Zakaria’s candidacy, the coalition believes he will attract further development and progress to the area if he becomes the Member of Parliament for the area.”

Alidu Zakaria, who currently serves as the Managing Director of Nick Petroleum, aims to secure the parliamentary seat for the NPP in the 2024 elections, thereby challenging the dominance of the NDC.
