Catholic University of Ghana Adjudged the Academic Institution of the year 2023

The Catholic University of Ghana (CUG) in Fiapre, Sunyani has been adjudged the Academic Institution of the year 2023 at the first Recognition and Dinner night by the Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management (CISCM).

The recognition was conferred on the Catholic University of Ghana based on the eligibility criteria set for the Best Integrated Supply Chain Management Academic Institution of the year category relating to effectiveness, professionalism, integration and service excellence.

The Catholic University was outstanding in its commitment to preserve and maintain the integrity of the Integrated Supply Chain Management Profession, trained and developed Integrated Supply Chain Management professionals, adopting and using CISCM training development modules, ethics, and the ISCM professional practice framework.

Also, the University’s acceptance to be CISCM Centre for professional development and continuous progressive collaboration to become a center of excellence in integrated supply chain management was a contributing factor.

According to the CISCM, the selection was a result of months of research and enquiries by the Planning and Research Committee spread globally and the Catholic University’s huge contribution to Ghana & Africa in the application of one of its Value Streams in operations and was duly selected as the Academic Institution of the year.

The Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management, CISCM is a registered private company limited by guarantee with a mission to promote greater recognition of end-to-end Supply Chain Management through sound leadership, research, training, engagement and ethical professional service for sustainable development and growth.

The event, which was on the theme: “Integrated Supply Chain Management: A Catalyst for Development” saw 33 individuals, organisations and institutions across the West African Sub-Region and the African Continent being recognized and honoured for various achievements.

The Vice Chancellor of the Catholic University of Ghana, Prof. Daniels Obeng-Ofori led an official delegation to the recognition and dinner night to receive the award.
