MUSIGA Members Urged To Enroll On SSNIT

The President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bessa Simons, has urged members of the association in the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions to enroll in the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) to secure their future.

Bessa Simons noted that many musicians in the country face significant financial difficulties in their old age because they do not enroll in any insurance policies during the prime of their careers. This, he said, should motivate members of the association to embrace SSNIT.

Mr. Simons made this appeal during a meeting with members of the association in Sunyani as part of his “Unity Tour.”

He said, “Let’s all embrace SSNIT and enroll in it to secure our future so that in our old age we will enjoy.”

He also called on individuals in the music industry who are not members of MUSIGA to join the association.

“I want to encourage all stakeholders in the music industry who are not members of MUSIGA to join the association to enjoy the benefits that come with it,” he said.

Additionally, he urged members of the association to form welfare groups to support each other.

Ransford Antwi, a businessman a former Manager of Kojo Antwi on his part called on members of MUSIGA in the region to patronize the recording studios he has set up.

“I want to urge all of you to patronize the recording studio I have set up. It is free when you go there to record your songs.”

Other national executives of MUSIGA who were part of the “Unity Tour” were the Second Vice President, Abena Ruthy and S.K. Agyemang the General Secretary.
