Patrick Yaw Boamah Is The New Chairman of the Finance Committee in Parliament

The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah has been appointed as the Chairman of the Finance Committee in Parliament.

Patrick Yaw Boamah takes over from Kwaku Kwarteng, the Member of Parliament for Obuasi West Constituency. Before taking over he was the Vice Chairman of the Finance Committee in Parliament.

Profile of Patrick Yaw Boamah

Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah Esq., is a Barrister and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. He holds a Law degree from the University of Ghana Law School, a Qualifying Certificate in Law (QCL), a Masters in International Affairs and a diploma in Public Administration.

Hon. Patrick Boamah is a member of the Ghana Bar Association, Commonwealth Lawyers Association, and the International Bar Association.  He worked as an Associate for five (5) years at Sam Okudzeto & Associates; a leading law firm in Accra.  He presently leads a thriving legal practice called Boamah & Partners which he established in 2013.

Patrick Yaw Boamah was elected Member of Parliament for the Okaikoi Central Constituency in 2012, 2016 and 2020 and continues to provide his constituents with the necessary initiatives aimed at improving their quality of life.

He served as the Deputy Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources and the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament in the 7th Parliament of the 4th Republic in the Akuffo Addo led administration.
