Akua Donkor, the founder and presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has announced her running mate for the 2024 elections.
She has chosen Ghanaian radio presenter Kwabena Agyeman Appiah Kubi, popularly known as Roman Fada, as her vice-presidential candidate. Roman Fada is the host of the Drive Time Show on Accra-based Atinka FM and also serves as the manager of veteran Ghanaian musician Daddy Lumba.
Initially, Akua Donkor had planned to select another media personality, Adakabre Frimpong, but due to his unavailability, she opted for Roman Fada instead.
The choice of Roman Fada has sparked reactions on social media.
With just a few months remaining before the December 7 election, Akua Donkor has yet to launch her manifesto and policies.
However, she has emphasized that her top priorities include the Free Senior High School program and the fight against illegal mining (galamsey).
