Don’t air my movies without permission – LilWin warns TV stations

Ghanaian actor, Lilwin

Ghanaian actor and producer, Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as LilWin, has issued a stern warning to television networks in Ghana not to air his movies without proper authorization.

In a video shared online, LilWin expressed visible frustration with local TV stations that broadcast both Ghanaian and Nigerian movies without securing the necessary rights.

He criticized station owners and executives for neglecting to support African filmmakers while readily purchasing rights to foreign content like telenovelas.

The popular actor questioned why these networks can afford to pay for foreign series but consistently resort to downloading Nigerian films from YouTube to air for free.

LilWin emphasized that his productions, especially those on his YouTube channel or anywhere online, are not to be used without permission and made it clear that any infringement will trigger legal consequences.

He stated that he is fully prepared to pursue offenders through legal channels, and if those processes are delayed, he hinted that he has unconventional means of ensuring justice is served.
