Prophet Kumchacha Blasts Agradaa’s Husband for Involving Teen Daughter in Viral Plea for Mother’s Release

A heartfelt plea from the teenage daughter of jailed Nana Agradaa has ignited both sympathy and backlash online, most notably from outspoken cleric Prophet Kumchacha.

The video, which surfaced on social media on July 19, 2025, captured the young girl emotionally begging the court to grant her mother clemency. Agradaa, a controversial religious figure, is currently serving a 15-year sentence. In her tearful appeal, the teenager described the emotional void left by her mother’s absence.

However, what began as a passionate plea quickly morphed into a storm of criticism, particularly over the decision to place a minor at the forefront of such a sensitive issue. A day later, on July 20, Prophet Kumchacha issued a sharp rebuke via social media, calling the entire episode “dumb” and directing blame at Agradaa’s husband, Angel Asiamah, whom he implied may have arranged the video.

“Asiamah, be sensible. There are a lot of people in Nsawam prison for stealing. Some are even there in jail for stealing a tuber of cassava. If you want public sympathy, all you need is a good lawyer,” Kumchacha said.

He further warned against the lasting impact this exposure could have on the young girl’s life, urging her guardians to act with more discretion.

“Don’t you know you are destroying the small girl’s future? She is even a minor. Involving her in this issue can destroy her life because social media doesn’t forget,” Prophet Kumchacha, known in private life as Nicholas Osei added.
