Locked behind the walls of Nsawam Female Prison, where she’s serving a 15-year sentence for fraud and deceptive religious practices, evangelist Nana Agradaa is reportedly making peace with her past, starting with a plea for forgiveness from Ghana’s political elite.
Her husband, Angel Asiamah, disclosed during a sermon on August 3, 2025, at Heavenway Champion International Ministry, that Agradaa’s first wish behind bars was not freedom, but reconciliation.
“I remember visiting my wife at the Nsawam Prison. I asked her what she would say to the world if she were given just a minute,” Asiamah said, recounting a deeply personal moment.
“She said she would use that moment to apologise to three individuals: first, His Excellency President Mahama, second, Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and third, Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi. She would plead that God touches their hearts to forgive her,” he told the congregation.
Born Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, the former fetish priestess rose to fame after converting to Christianity, rebranding herself as a televangelist and founder of Heavenway Ministries. But a 2022 “money-doubling” scheme, where worshippers were promised divine financial returns, led to a swift fall from grace.
Convicted on July 3, 2025, of defrauding the public by false pretence and promoting charlatanic claims, she was sentenced by an Accra Circuit Court to 15 years with hard labour and transferred to prison shortly after.
Yet according to her husband, Agradaa has embraced her sentence as a new evangelical mission. Despite her incarceration, she continues to preach and minister, finding a new audience behind bars.
“She’s already begun preaching to fellow inmates and ‘winning souls for Christ’ from within the prison walls,” Asiamah disclosed.
