MOG Beatz Accuses Shatta Wale of Selling His Productions Without Credit, Sparking 2025 Feud

MOG Beatz and Shatta Wale

Sound producer MOG Beatz has reignited his long-running dispute with Dancehall star Shatta Wale, claiming that history is repeating itself, this time on a far larger scale.

The feud originally occurred in 2021 when MOG accused Shatta of failing to pay him for producing 10 tracks on the Reign album. Weeks of tense exchanges followed, with MOG insisting his contributions had been disregarded.

In the early hours of August 19, 2025, the music producer took to X to allege that Shatta Wale recently sold a music catalogue, including songs he produced, to an international company for millions of dollars, without his knowledge or consent. According to MOG, his production credits were removed and replaced with Shatta Wale’s name.

He also pointed to Shatta’s sudden display of wealth, including luxury vehicles like a Rolls-Royce, suggesting it was funded by the disputed catalogue sale.

“On a normal day, that Rolls-Royce you no fit afford am. Why you for come involve me and scam the company using my property after 2021, why you no learn lesson,” MOG wrote. “Your fans, I know them go come side you and things all, eno be problem, if you think this one be defamation of character, make you bring evidence, me to I go bring my evidence.”

MOG emphasized that his objection is not purely financial but about integrity and recognition. He recalled how the 2021 fallout ended without resolution, with Shatta never compensating him for his work.

“The 2021 fight it happen, you no learn sense from inside, the money you no pay me… Fast forward 2025, you carry these same songs I produce give you, put your name for under say ebi produced by Shatta Wale, 25 songs plus, you go take advance, millions of dollars, just to go and buy Rolls Royce and cars to show you you get money pass Ghanaian artistes,” he added.

MOG described the alleged deal as a “fraudulent scheme,” accusing Shatta of deceiving the foreign company while dragging him into the situation by exploiting his productions without credit.

“The international company you scam them millions of dollars, you for sort them out, you and them for go talk. Ebi them go come talk to me later after you settle everything them finish, then them go come come meet me. Why them curse you? 2021 ebi you come tell me say the beats I produce give you all be GH¢5 beats, insults upon insults eno be problem,” he said.

As the feud resurfaces, MOG Beatz is determined to ensure his work and intellectual property are recognized and not misused again.
