Shatta Wale has spoken publicly for the first time since regaining his freedom from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), offering words of gratitude to his fans and to officials who oversaw his case.
Moments after leaving custody, the “Freedom” hitmaker appeared live on TikTok, where he confirmed his detainment and shared fragments of what he went through. In his address, he praised supporters for their unwavering loyalty, stressing that their solidarity meant everything at a difficult time.
The dancehall star also singled out EOCO’s Executive Director, Raymond Archer, thanking him for the manner in which the matter was handled, calling his approach considerate.
Shatta Wale’s public relations manager, Sammy Flex, had earlier disclosed that the bail amount originally set at GH¢10 million was reduced to GH¢5 million, with two sureties to be justified. Under the new conditions, the artiste must check in with EOCO three times each week while investigations continue.
