Sarkodie has revealed that the support pouring in from Ghana’s music community ahead of his Rapperholic concert has been extraordinary, with some artists even taking on parts of the sponsorship.
In an interview on Lawson TV, the award-winning rapper revealed that Shatta Wale was one of the first to step forward. Sarkodie admitted he finds it difficult to ask for help, but this time colleagues in the industry offered their backing without hesitation.
“Almost all those who have heard about the event called me to include them. I find it difficult to call for help. But most of them told me that they want to support, for example, Shatta Wale reached out,” he said.
Explaining further, Sarkodie disclosed that Shatta Wale had contributed through his SHAXI company by providing cars for the concert. “He started with SHAXI, so all the cars I am moving out with right now are for Shatta Wale. The ones that will convey the artistes to the event are all sponsored by Shatta Wale,” Sarkodie added.
The rapper also addressed questions about the absence of Stonebwoy and Black Sherif from the list of performers. He explained that the timing of the show made it difficult for every artiste to be involved.
“Most of the artistes won’t be able to come because of the timing. We can’t say we will reach out to everybody,” he clarified.

“I find it difficult to reach out to people for help. Shatta Wale for instance called me by himself to offer Shaxi services and to perform”
