Ghanaian content creator, Ben South, has stirred controversy online after claiming that men who practice polygamy are more likely to live longer lives.
During an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, Ben South argued that men with only one wife often face more difficulties compared to those with multiple partners. He referred to examples from the Bible, stating that figures like Adam and Samson experienced problems because they were monogamous, while men with two wives supposedly avoided such issues.
The skit maker suggested that a single wife can sometimes become too comfortable, creating tension in the relationship. He believes having two wives fosters a sense of balance and competition that strengthens marriages.
According to Ben South, marrying more than one woman can even bring peace to a man’s life. He explained that a wife who knows her husband has another partner is likely to “level up” and behave better.
He said men with one wife may constantly find themselves in conflict, while those with two wives have both women “fighting for them” instead.
