Prophet Roja has issued a spiritual warning regarding the future of Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.
In a televised interview on Onua TV on October 31, 2025, the prophet claimed to have foreseen a 15-year jail term for the embattled party figure unless his supporters rally in prayer.
Chairman Wontumi is currently facing prosecution over allegations of illegal mining activities. Prophet Roja said the outcome he saw was clear and alarming. “I saw the number 15 written. If Ghanaians don’t pray for him, he will be jailed for 15 years… Wontumi’s loved ones should pray for him,” he stated.
The prophet further hinted that Wontumi’s fate was also tied to a strained relationship with a key figure who could have intervened on his behalf. “He has offended a man, and it is this person who can sit with people to have discussions that would help him (Wontumi) to gain his freedom,” Roja said.
He cryptically suggested that “any smart person would understand” the significance of adding 15 to the date of his prophecy.
Meanwhile, Chairman Wontumi and officials from Akonta Mining Company Limited have entered not guilty pleas to multiple charges under Ghana’s Minerals and Mining Act. The case centers on unauthorized mining operations in Samreboi, where the accused face counts related to assigning mineral rights without approval and supporting unlicensed mining activities.
