Ghanaian rapper Medikal has finally revealed why he named his son with Eazzy, ‘Space’.
For him, naming his children is about more than tradition; it’s about setting a vision. His newborn son’s name, Space, according to the rapper, reflects a desire for the child to grow up without limits, free to explore infinite possibilities. Medikal sees the name as a symbol of imagination, freedom, and boundless potential.
He revealed that he personally names all his children, choosing each name with intention and care. As conversations online buzzed about the meaning behind Space’s name, rumours also emerged claiming Medikal had fathered more than one child with singer Eazzy, the mother of Space.
Clearing the air during an interview on 3Music TV, Medikal dismissed the speculation. He confirmed that Space is his only child with Eazzy and that he is the father of two children in total. His first child, Island, was born from a previous relationship with Fella Makafui, his ex-wife.
By addressing the speculation and sharing the thought behind his son’s name, Medikal offered insight into his life as a father, one who hopes his children grow with the same limitless mindset their names embody.
Medikal and Eazzy welcomed their son, Space Frimpong, a few weeks ago.
