Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame has revealed that his marriage to Annica was not born out of the idea of finding “the one,” but from a mix of logic, attraction, and shared values.
During a recent interview on Joy Prime, the rapper explained that his decision to marry her came after realizing she was both emotionally grounded and aligned with his goals. What began as physical attraction, he said, grew into a meaningful partnership built on understanding and support.
“I didn’t choose my wife because she’s the one. I chose her because she was reasonable,” Okyeame Kwame said. “She was conscientious, she had foresight, she made my problems her problems, and she had a big nyash.”
He admitted that her physical appearance was what first caught his attention, but it was her character and commitment that made her irreplaceable.
“When I met her, I didn’t know she was going to make my problems hers. I only noticed her nyash. So, meaning we can begin with attraction, then interaction and projection,” he added.
Okyeame Kwame indicated that Annica’s thoughtfulness and willingness to share in his struggles convinced him that she was the right partner to build a life with.
