Court Grants GH¢100,000 Bail to Ebo Noah as Case Continues

Ebo Noah

The Adenta Circuit Court has granted bail to self-proclaimed doomsday prophet Ebo Noah, setting the amount at GH¢100,000 with strict conditions attached as his case continues to unfold.

Under the ruling, Noah is required to present two sureties, with at least one backed by verifiable security in the form of either a landed property or a vehicle. The court adjourned proceedings to March 18, 2026, to allow the case to progress.

The decision was met with approval from the defence team. Addressing journalists after the hearing, Emmanuel Sarfo, counsel for the accused, said the ruling reflected a balanced application of the law.

“Thankfully, the court has exercised its discretion because discretion must always be fair, reasonable and just. So, it exercised it well pursuant to our laws and admitted our accused to bail with any property, with a landed property or a vehicle, in the amount of GHS100,000, and that is all,” he stated.

As part of the bail terms, the court stressed that the accused must fully comply with all conditions. Any breach, it warned, could lead to an immediate withdrawal of the bail.

The case is scheduled to resume on March 18, 2026, giving both prosecutors and defence lawyers additional time to prepare for the next phase of the trial.

Ebo Noah, whose birth name is Evans Eshun, was arrested on December 31, 2025, by the Special Cyber Vetting Team of the Ghana Police Service. His detention followed widespread public concern over his predictions of an imminent global catastrophe.

The accused had claimed he received a divine warning of a devastating flood that would destroy the world on December 25, 2025. He later drew further attention after constructing what he described as an “ark” at his premises, which he said would preserve humanity from the disaster.

When the forecasted destruction did not occur, Noah reportedly altered his narrative, claiming that his prayers had delayed the impending calamity.
