Ghanaians Want Leadership That Solves Problems, Not Just Talks – Adutwum

Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum

Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, one of the New Patriotic Party’s presidential aspirants, says Ghanaians are ready for politics that prioritizes ideas, tangible solutions, and national growth over empty rhetoric.

Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile programme on Saturday, January 17, Dr Adutwum outlined his vision for a political culture grounded in practical results and forward-thinking leadership.

“The electorate is increasingly demanding politics that is responsive to their everyday needs and focused on practical outcomes,” he said. “Ghanaians want a different kind of politics, one that is about problem-solving, competence and delivering results for the people.”

According to the NPP hopeful, leadership must be guided by a clear vision and a genuine commitment to advancing the country. He argued that Ghana’s next developmental phase requires leaders who are well-versed in policy, innovation, and effective governance.

“We must move the conversation towards ideas that can transform lives and strengthen our country,” Dr Adutwum stated.

He added that his decision to seek the NPP flagbearership stems from a belief in the need for leadership capable of meeting both current and future challenges. Interactions with party members and the public have reinforced his view that many Ghanaians are eager for a political culture built on development, accountability, and national unity.
