After a period away from the spotlight, Ghanaian comedian and actor Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face or The Children’s President, is set to return to primetime television in a major way.
Metro TV and Original TV confirmed the development on Wednesday, jointly unveiling Funny Face as their newest on-air host in an announcement that quickly sparked conversation across social media platforms.
The reveal was paired with a promotional flyer welcoming the comedian back to mainstream television, signaling what many fans see as a fresh chapter in his career.
Moments after the announcement went public, Funny Face echoed the news on his own social media pages. In a brief but reflective caption, he wrote: “To God Be The Glory.”
His reemergence on television follows months of quiet rebuilding, supported by close friends, family members, and colleagues within the entertainment industry, including actor Kwaku Manu, who have publicly stood by him.
The comeback marks a significant milestone for Funny Face, whose career was disrupted in recent years by widely reported personal challenges, including mental health struggles and a turbulent dispute involving his baby mama, Vanessa Nicole.
