“I Go for Money from His Salary Every Month” – BullGod on Being Paid by President Mahama

Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, widely known as BullGod, says the past year has brought him a level of ease he is not shy to talk about.

The Ghanaian artiste manager, who publicly backed the National Democratic Congress in the 2024 elections, credits that comfort to the return of the party to government. In an interview with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, BullGod praised President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership and made a striking claim about his personal ties to the presidency.

“I am on a payroll with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, since he started working, every month I go for money from his salary. So when they pay him, then he pays me,l he said.

According to him, the arrangement was briefly interrupted when the President committed his salary to the Mahama Care project. During that period, he said, the monthly payments ceased. He noted, however, that the situation has since been resolved and the stipends have resumed.

Beyond his personal benefit, BullGod maintained that President Mahama and his appointees are steering the country in the right direction and working to stabilise national affairs.

Away from politics, he is also pushing a social intervention initiative dubbed ‘Bright Walls, Better Minds’. The project focuses on transforming police holding cells across the country through art installations and murals aimed at improving the environment.
