“My Marriage Life Is a Good One” – Akwaboah Discloses

Ghanaian artiste Akwaboah is pushing back against the gloomy narrative that often surrounds marriage online, saying his own experience has been deeply rewarding.

In a recent interview with Pulse Ghana, the singer spoke candidly about his home life, describing it as steady and fulfilling. He acknowledged that social media feeds are frequently flooded with stories of broken unions and disappointment, but insisted that those accounts rarely capture the full picture.

“My marriage life is a good one. I keep telling people that sometimes you see some posts on social media talking about the negatives in marriages, but there are also positives in marriage that you don’t have to be scared of getting into,” he stated.

For Akwaboah, the foundation of a strong union lies in choosing the right partner. He stressed that friendship, clarity and intention matter far more than surface appeal or financial comfort.

“You just need to know who you’re with, find your best friend, and make a strong choice. If you want to go because you’re looking at what they have, in terms of beauty or money, that’s the biggest mistake you would ever make,” he advised.

He warned that basing a lifelong decision on looks or wealth is risky, pointing out that both can be fleeting.

“Beauty fades, and with money, you can even lose your job. But for me, so far so good,” Akwaboah further stated.
