27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards

The race for honours at the upcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards is beginning to take shape following the release of the official nominations list.

Charterhouse has announced the full lineup of nominees for the 27th edition of the awards scheme, highlighting a mix of established stars and fast-rising talents whose work dominated the past year. As expected, the nominations have already stirred conversations among music fans across social media.

Several of Ghana’s most influential acts secured strong placements across multiple categories. Medikal, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie stand out among the leading contenders, each appearing in several major categories including the coveted Artiste of the Year race.

Black Sherif also features heavily on the list. The award-winning musician earned nominations in the Artiste of the Year, Best Hiphop Song, Best Afropop Song, Best Music Video and Songwriter of the Year categories, placing him among the most nominated acts this year and strengthening his chances for the night’s top honour.

In the gospel category, Diana Hamilton maintains a strong presence. The celebrated singer secured a nomination for Artiste of the Year and also appears in the Best Urban/Contemporary Gospel category.

Competition for the ultimate prize is expected to be intense. Black Sherif, Medikal, Stonebwoy, Wendy Shay, Sarkodie and Diana Hamilton have all been nominated for Artiste of the Year.
