Ghanaian gospel musician Broda Sammy stunned listeners with a personal revelation, confessing that a secret encounter in a church led to the birth of his child.
In a recent discussion with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, Broda Sammy described the incident as one of the deepest secrets he had kept for years.
He explained that the event took place during a difficult period in his life when he was living in a church and helping with cleaning duties.
“When I used to sleep in a church, I got a child from there. This is my deepest secret because I’ve not told anyone about it,” he admitted.
The musician recounted that he shared cleaning responsibilities with a woman at the church. One night, while he was sleeping on a bench, an unexpected encounter occurred.
“I used to clean a church and lived there. A woman I was cleaning the church with slept with me. One day, I was lying on a bench at night. Not knowing, my manhood came out of the space in our boxer shorts,” he said.
He added, “I was fast asleep, so when she was cleaning the church, she saw my manhood and got attracted. All of a sudden, I felt someone on me. I was thinking it was a demon, so I tried to push it away, only for me to realise it was the lady who was having sex with me in the church. I enjoyed it, so I couldn’t ask her to stop.”
Broda Sammy noted that he was young and inexperienced at the time, describing the encounter as his first sexual experience. He later learned that the woman had become pregnant, though he was initially unaware.
“I was a virgin at that time, so she was the first woman I did that with. She later got pregnant, but I didn’t know. Our church elder took care of the child until she got to secondary school. I had to go for her because my pastor was relocating abroad,” he said.
He revealed that his daughter is now 21 and pursuing her studies at the University of Ghana. Broda Sammy also mentioned that, although he informed his ex-wife about the child, she never got the chance to meet her.
“She’s currently at the University of Ghana and she’s 21 years old. I told my ex-wife I had a child, but she never saw her,” Broda Sammy disclosed.
