Financing a major show in Ghana’s music scene can come at a steep personal cost, and for dancehall star Stonebwoy, that meant letting go of prized assets.
Speaking in an interview with Kafui Dey, the artiste revealed he sold off two of his luxury vehicles to bankroll his recent concert in the Volta Region.
“I even had to sell my two cars to invest in this show. I sold my V8 and my Range Rover to put into the show,” he said.
He acknowledged the weight of that decision, noting it was not easy to give up personal property, but maintained that such moves are sometimes necessary in an industry that runs on calculated risk and forward planning.
“But we understand leveraging and the need to invest in whatever long-term strategy,” Stonebwoy further stated.
