A one-week observation in honour of the late Ghanaian actress Beverly Ama Afaglo will be held in Tema following her passing, with the family and her management calling for privacy, prayers, and support as they begin funeral arrangements.
The ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, 30 May 2026, at the Green Flavour Events Centre in Community 9, Tema. It will run from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., bringing together family members, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers to reflect on her life and mourn her sudden departure.
The announcement was made through an emotional statement shared on behalf of the family, Cine-God Studios, and her management, confirming her death and outlining the immediate plans for her remembrance.
Beverly Afaglo passed away in the early hours of Sunday, 24 May 2026, at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema. According to the statement, she died peacefully after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Her husband, Eugene Baah, widely known in the music industry as Choirmaster or Praye Honeho of the group Praye, also confirmed the heartbreaking news in a deeply emotional Instagram post, adding to the wave of grief that has since swept through the entertainment industry.
The family has asked the public for prayers and understanding as they navigate the difficult period and prepare for her final rites. They also indicated that further details regarding the funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
